Dennis J. Thornhill

Dennis J. Thornhill serves as Executive Advisor at Pinnacle Mergers & Acquisitions, where he draws on nearly four decades of automotive leadership to guide clients through complex dealership transactions.

A seasoned executive with a 39-year career at Toyota Motor North America, Dennis held senior roles in dealer operations, sales, franchise development, and market representation, in both the Toyota and Lexus divisions. As Vice President of Retail Market Development (RMD), he led dealer franchise strategy, acquisition planning, facility branding standards, business management and the Toyota Dealer Investment Group (TDIG), which aligned Toyota with future dealer partners.

Known for his collaborative approach and deep dealer relationships, including with many of the largest dealer groups and industry allies NADA, AIADA and NAMAD, Dennis enhances and embraces Pinnacle’s relationship-first model. He also serves on the Advisory Board of Open Road Capital and holds a degree in finance from California State University, Long Beach.

Dennis and his family are die-hard sports fans who enjoy traveling to watch their favorite teams, including TCU Horned Frogs football, the Las Vegas Raiders, and both the Dodgers and Angels. He is also a passionate supporter of numerous charitable organizations, including Miracle League of Frisco, Special Olympics Texas, and the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
